Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halis Atıl Atilla
Specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halis Atıl Atilla is a physician specialized in advanced surgical procedures, arthroscopic surgery, and joint-preserving treatments in the field of orthopedics and traumatology. He completed his medical education at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Military Medicine, and received his specialization training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same institution. In his specialization thesis, he contributed to the advancement of surgical techniques by focusing on the use of locking plate systems in proximal femoral osteotomies in patients with cerebral palsy.

Continuing his academic and clinical development at an international level, Dr. Atilla served as a clinical observer and research fellow at the Department of Orthopedics at Wake Forest University in the United States between 2015 and 2016. During this period, he conducted advanced studies particularly in hip joint preservation surgery, arthroscopy, and regenerative treatments. In 2021, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Throughout his professional career, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atilla has worked in military hospitals, training and research hospitals, and university hospitals. He has extensive clinical experience in trauma surgery, sports injuries, knee–hip–shoulder pathologies, cartilage lesions, and biological treatments. He is currently serving as a faculty member at Etlik City Hospital and the University of Health Sciences, while actively continuing his academic and clinical work.

Having authored numerous national and international scientific articles, book chapters, and congress presentations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atilla has taken active roles in prestigious scientific organizations such as EFORT, TOTBİD, TUSYAD, and REKKORT. As of 2024, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of REKKORT (Regenerative and Joint Cartilage Preservation Orthopedic Society).

At the core of his treatment philosophy are evidence-based medicine, joint preservation principles, and personalized treatment planning. His primary goal is to enable patients to return to a pain-free, safe, and functional life as quickly as possible.
