Knee Joint Preservation Treatments

The knee joint is one of the joints most prone to damage due to its role in bearing body weight and its intensive use in daily activities. Knee joint preservation treatments include surgical and non-surgical methods applied before the development of osteoarthritis or at its early stages.

Meniscal tears, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, cartilage lesions, and patellofemoral problems can be treated using a joint preservation approach. In appropriately selected patients, arthroscopic surgery, cartilage repair techniques, and biological treatments provide successful outcomes.

The primary goal of these treatments is to maintain the knee’s natural structure, ensure pain-free movement, and delay the need for joint replacement surgery that may arise later in life.
